What You Need to Know about Senior Photos

When I meet a prospective senior client, I always want to know their story. Knowing my clients and their stories helps me become a more intuitive photographer and allows me to capture the pieces of them that make up their personality, their passions, and their dreams! Some seniors are more shy than others, and others are extroverts who can’t wait to share with me. No matter where a senior comes from, I want them to know:

-Your session doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s. Some seniors want the “look” of the moment, and seek out my sessions because of my editing style or locations. That’s awesome! But others want something really unique and they come to me because they know I can make it happen. Whether you want a non-traditional session or something very similar to the other senior sessions I have done, I can make it happen. My signature style is consistent throughout, but we can tailor your experience to you.

-Your “imperfections” make you YOU and don’t have to be covered up. I get that we all have things that make us self-conscious, but I work hard to be sure that the real you is represented in your images! If you have braces, acne, or are nervous about posing, I can help you feel more confident and guide you through the process. I can also offer advice on makeup/hair and wardrobe to help you feel your best on the day of your shoot.

-I am rooting for you: I am on your team. As a senior photographer, my goal is to capture you and be able to give you images that you treasure for years. I want you to feel the emotions and experiences of senior year long after your session is over and for your photos to bring those memories flooding back when you look at them. If you are experiencing tough emotions or feelings, please let me know. I’d be so glad to talk to you about how to make your senior session unforgettable.

I can’t wait to tell your story.
