Baby Announcement // Southern Oregon Family Photographer

Welcoming a baby is beyond special, no matter if it's your first or your sixth! Every time a family trusts me to document their pregnancy or maternity season, I am so overjoyed. I was able to capture this family before for other milestones in their lives, and now they are adding a second wonderful baby girl to their brood. How absolutely adorable is that big sister?! I can barely stand it. She will have a built-in best friend for life! Bria, you are such a wonderful momma and wife, and I'm so proud of you and thankful to know you.

I have had some families ask me when it's appropriate to do maternity photos or an announcement. Here is what I think:

is perfect to celebrate a new life! As a mama who has experienced loss in our journey to become parents to our boys, I know it can be scary to do pregnancy photos or an announcement, but you will never regret having precious images of this time in your life. Even if you're early on in your pregnancy (or ready to go into labor!), it is never a "wrong" time to have photos taken to celebrate a brand-new little life. I also want to say that if you are going through a different journey to parenthood, such as an adoption or using a surrogate, please know it is important to capture your joy as well! I would love to help you with an adoption or surrogate announcement, so you can share that joy with all your loved ones. Don't put it off because you don't have that baby bump. You are just as much a mama!
