Using the Same Photographer Year after Year
Because I have been doing family, wedding, and couples photography for many years now, I have some families who are legacy clients. That means that they return to me every year (or every six months) to update their family photos, and I get the privilege of watching their children grow up. Sometimes people wonder if they should use the same photographer each year, or if it’s better to mix it up for every shoot. I believe everyone should choose what’s best for their families, but there are lots of benefits to booking with the same photographer each year!
Consistency in style: When you work with the same photographer for multiple family sessions, you can expect a consistent style and quality of work. This ensures that your family photos have a cohesive look and feel, making them more visually appealing when displayed together, This also makes it easier to display them in multiple rooms in your home.
Comfort and trust: Over time, you and your family will become more comfortable with the photographer, which can lead to more natural and relaxed photos. A strong rapport can develop, and your family may feel more at ease during the photo sessions, resulting in better, more genuine expressions and moments captured. This is especially true for families with little ones who may feel shy with new people.

This reduces the need for extensive communication before each session, making the process smoother and more efficient! They will also understand the types of photos you love/have loved in the past.
